Terms of Service
Use of the app
ObtainX is provided to help with app update related workflows. You are responsible for the apps you track, the sources you configure, and files you choose to obtain or manage.
Relationship to Obtainium
ObtainX is based on Obtainium and includes work from the Obtainium project and its contributors. ObtainX is maintained separately by Bikram Agarwal. The Obtainium project and its contributors are not responsible for changes made in ObtainX, ObtainX support, or ObtainX-specific behavior.
Third-party sources
External services and download sources may have their own terms, policies, rate limits, and availability. Review those terms before using them.
ObtainX lets you track apps from sources you choose. You are responsible for deciding whether a source, release, APK, installer, or downloaded file is trustworthy. Third-party sources may publish malicious, compromised, misleading, or unsafe files, including malware, spyware, rootkits, or packages pretending to be legitimate app updates.
ObtainX does not verify that every source or downloaded file is safe, authentic, or free from harmful behavior. Installing apps from outside trusted stores can create security and privacy risks.
No warranty
The app is provided as-is, without guarantees that it will be error-free or available for every source, device, or use case.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app, including failed update checks, failed downloads, APK install problems, source availability issues, malicious or compromised downloads, malware, spyware, rootkits, unsafe third-party packages, third-party installer behavior, device issues, backup or restore problems, or reliance on app output.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page.
